Dec 19, 2017 Tried multiple times to on/off iCloud music, updated music library from iTunes, erase and restore phone, sync via cable and iTunes etc. If i set new phone without iCloud backup - and connect to my iCloud account i see my music BUT it still not syncing so i have stale state of music on iPhone. I have fired up an old Mac which hasn’t been used for at least 5 years in order to transfer my old iTunes library to my current iPhone 8. Both devices are connect by usb cord. When I click on devices in the iTunes library on the Mac the ‘sync’ option is grayed out. The only option is to ‘restore from backup’.
Mar 31, 2020 Keep iTunes up-to-date: Ensure that you have the latest iTunes software version installed on your computer before plugging in your iPhone. ITunes should automatically check this when it is run, but you can also force an update check by clicking the Help menu and choosing Check for Updates (Mac: click the iTunes menu tab, followed by Check for Updates). Jan 16, 2020 Go to the General tab and select iCloud Music Library to turn it on. If you don't subscribe to Apple Music or iTunes Match, you won’t see an option to turn on iCloud Music Library. If you have a large music library, it might take some time to upload and sync your music library.
