Jun 12, 2019 It is commonly known that VLC is the BDMV player which can open and play BDMV files, but errors like 'This Blu-ray disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.' Always happen and they are difficult to solve. Wonder how to get your VLC 3.0 to play encrypted blu-ray discs? You'll need two files: keys database and AACS dynamic library. Keys database get the file UPDATED! Windows: put it in C: ProgramData aacs Mac OS X: put it in /Library/Preferences/aacs/ (create it if it does not exist) Linux: put it in /.config/aacs/ AACS.
Place KEYDB.cfg in %APPDATA%aacs folder. Normally:
C:Users<username>AppDataRoamingaacs
AppData folder by default is hidden in Windows.
Place libvlc.dll in VLC installation folder. Normally:
C:Program FilesVideoLANVLC
or
C:Program Files (x86)VideoLANVLC
If you have 64bit Windows version and VLC is installed in C:Program Files (x86)VideoLANVLC, download 32bit version of libvlc.dll. And if VLC is installed in C:Program FilesVideoLANVLC, download 64bit version of libvlc.dll.
In case the above website becomes unavailable you can download 32bit Windows version of both files from here.
